You can help with Texas disaster relief through your local church. In the coming weeks, we will be sending out updates and needs. If you would like remain up-to-date on opportunities to be involved, then please sign-up to receive email updates through our MAKE A DIFFERENCE TEAM.

Northshore Church hopes to make a difference in the lives of those affected by the storm by helping others in the name of Jesus. Many volunteers from Texas came down to help our church and families rebuild after Katrina, and now we have the opportunity to return the blessing. Disaster relief has already begun in many areas of southern Texas, but as many of you know from experience with Katrina, the rebuilding process will take a very long time.

Listed below are some tangible ways that you can get involved right now.

Please PRAY for all those affected by the storm. Texans helped us out after Hurricane Katrina and now we are going to return the favor! Pray for our disaster response efforts to be effective, timely, and for the safety of our teams.

1. DROP OFF "Bed and Fed" Items at NSC on Sunday during either worship gathering or at the church office (Monday-Thursday, 9am-4pm). Along with other Baptist churches in our parish, we will pack up the items and deliver to the Baptist Association in Hammond. They have trucks ready to load and deliver!

"Bed and Fed" items include (Please do not donate used items.):

    • Non-perishable food items
    • Bottled water
    • New blankets
    • New cots

2. You can DONATE. 100% of funds designated for "Texas Disaster Relief" will be used for this project, including supplies and getting volunteers to and from Texas. We're currently monitoring events on the ground and will be working with the Louisiana Baptist Disaster Relief organization, as well as reaching out to individuals who have connections to NSC.
