180 Youth

Why we exist . . .
We don't want to be one more thing for students to do or one more thing to add to the schedule. We exist to help students see how God is moving and to challenge them to join Him in His movement!
Jefferson said,"Every generation needa a new revolution." We don't, by any means, think we are smarter than him but we would suggest a small change to his quote. We believe that every generation needs to be called to something bigger than themselves. We want to be a part of positioning students so they can hear God's calling to something way bigger than themselves.
To know Christ and make Him known ~ Mark 16:13
Who we are
Be: understanding our identity in Christ - who God created us to be.
Love: taking on the attitude of Christ in every aspect of our lives
Serve: pursuing the lifestyle of Jesus - not just serving but being servants.
Repeat: this is about living a life into the mission of God, not a checklist or how-to guide.
Our Purpose:
To know Christ and make Him known ~ Mark 16:15
Our main purpose here at 180 student ministry is to glorify God in everything that we do. We want Jesus to be the center of all that God allows us to do for Him. Staying connected to Jesus on a daily basis is the secret to making Jesus known throughout the earth. We believe that you can not tell people about Jesus if you don't know Him yourself. Our chief goal is to make Jesus' love known to as many people around the world as we can.

The Details
Where we meet:
Northshore Church
Times: 6 - 8PM
Who should come:
Students in grades 6 - 12
How to Connect:
Come be apart of our large group worship Sunday’s 6-8pm @ the new building or join one of our bible studies that will be launching soon.
What We Do:
We have generously been given the ability to meet in an entire section of the Crossgates Club to ourselves! Because of all the space we have the capability to do large group games like giant kickball, dodge ball, basketball, football or whatever we feel like doing that night. We also have another large room we set up a couple of game systems on the projector and tv. A typical night involves us hanging out, playing some games, and eating some snacks, then having a time of worship.
Current Teaching Series:
We have kicked off our study through the Book of Matthew. I have listed the next 6 weeks of what we will be talking through so you can read ahead or study those verses in your devotions each week.
- Matthew 12:1-8 What's Really Important?
- Matthew 13:44-46 Your Most Valuable Possession
- Matthew 14:13-21 Your All Is Enough
- Matthew 15:18-20 Matters Of The Heart
- Matthew 16:13-20 Who Is Jesus To You?
